Now that David Tennant is stepping down from the tardis who better to fill the tasty timelord’s shoes than…. Gok Wan! I think Gok would make a great Dr Who - don’t you? He could travel through time fixing people’s clothing dilemmas, see if the aliens have any top beauty tips, call everybody girlfriend…

When Gok Wan was in the Simply Yours office and were filming the video where he gave three Simply Yours girls the Gok treatment in his lingerie, we managed to capture some pure Gok gold on camera, which we simply had to share with you.
Gok, being his usual outrageous self, caused quite a bit of chaos on the office (as you can imagine).

The Sunday Times has included Gok Wan in their list of people who have gone up on that fickle scale of fame.
He’s in interesting company - other stars on the up include Paris Hilton, Russell Brand, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Aniston and Prince Charles. Can you imagine that lot all getting together with Gok Wan? Good grief! I think Gok would have a whale of a time with though!
And on the way down? Kerry Katona, Sinitta and Mel B.
Mind you I’m sure Gok would have a hoot with them too!

Gok Wan is a multitalented man - perhaps an acting career awaits? 
It has been brought to my attention that there are a lot of people think that Gok Wan is called Gok Wang.
Yes really. Just try Googling Gok Wang. Crazy! All these people out there talking about Gok Wang!
Well just to set the record straight, it’s definitely Gok Wan not Gok Wang. Though if you’re reading my Gok Wan blog then I guess you already know that!

Adding to his long list of projects which includes the Gok Wan lingerie range for Simply Yours, Miss Naked Beauty currently on TV, a new series of How to Look Good Naked coming next year, his current book How to Dress and a documentary on obesity focussing on his own drastic weight loss he has now launched… a book on how to look fabulous when flying!
Gok Wan teamed up with Air New Zealand to produce the style guide ‘Looking Fly in the Sky’, which covers everything from packing advice, to in-flight chic, to hair and beauty tips.
Gok Wan:
“Arriving at your destination looking fresh and fabulous is important, whether flying for business or pleasure.”
“I’m not recommending the old style elasticated waistband trousers but you want to be as comfortable as possible.”
Here are some top travelling tips from Gok:
- Exposure to air conditioning for any length of time can dry out your skin. Pack a rich hand cream with Vitamins A,C and D which will replace moisture to the skin instantly. And use it on your feet and elbows too!
- Take a change of clothes for the plane. A light-weight tracksuit is ideal and ladies, a pashmina is great for snuggling down on long haul journeys!
- Layering is super easy: the key is to use block colours for simplicity and make sure your top layer is easy to remove allowing you to control your own personal temperature gauge while on board. Mixing knits is so this season!
- Guys: to avoid looking like Russell Brand on a bad hair day, don’t put product in your hair before the flight. Just before landing nip to the loo and style away. Don’t use too much - there’s nothing worse than a chip shop mop!

I received an e-mail recently from a male Gok Wan fan who wondered whether there was anyone out there who could give guys the Gok treatment. Gok Wan had previously only ever worked with women on his shows.
Well, now it seems that the Fairy Gok mother has changed his tune and is going to come to the rescue of dudes in distress, in his new series of How to Look Good Naked, out next year.
Gok Wan said:
“I used to be a male stylist and I used to do lot of work with guys and next year on How To Look Good Naked we’re putting guys into the show”
And what man would Gok makeover given the chance?
Some ugly duckling to transform into a swan with a little style SOS?
