Cherry Blossom Girl

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Possibly our favourite from the new Gok Wan lingerie collection for Simply Yours are his Cherry Blossom lines, featuring a divinely delicate satin print.

Sheer mesh panels add sex appeal to the sides of the bodyshaper and the back of the briefs, whilst luxurious two-tone lace trims the top of the cups and the briefs for a look that’s so fresh and feminine you’ll feel like Spring has sprung even in the depths of winter!

In Japan the cherry blossom (sakura) symbolises the fleetingness of life due to the breathtaking beauty of the blossoms that flourish all at once and then are gone. We’re sure that whenever you wear this cherry blossom lingerie you’ll be inspired to live every moment to the full. And look gorgeous whilst doing it of course!

Gok talks to the Telegraph

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

If you’re a fan of Gok Wan you won’t want miss his recent interview with the Telegraph.

In it Gok talks openly about everything from fame and family to the stress and insecurity that he still sometimes feels, despite all the wonderful work he does to make others feel good about themselves.

He says that on screen, he is ‘a magnified version’ of who he is, and that what he’s been through himself helps him to help others with their own personal battles.

Gok recognises the importance of his break-through series ‘How to Look Good Naked’ and the impact it had:

‘It came at a time when women needed to find a voice. Forget the fashion bits, forget it was presented by a gay guy - which it probably shouldn’t have been, though whether we like it or not a gay man can get something out of a woman that a straight man, or another woman, couldn’t. It was just about that moment when every woman thought, “I am allowed to feel this.” It gave this amazing sense of community.’

It’s so true - where would we be without you Gok?
