You may have heard about the documentary Gok Wan is working on about obesity, a topic very close to his heart. Hopefully you read it here first.
The focus will be on teen obesity and the TV company are looking for participants aged between 12 and 20.

Gok Wan was chosen to host this year’s Women in Film and Television (WFTV) awards which took place last Friday, the 5th December, at the prestigious Park Lane Hilton.
Gok, ever modest, says he was selected becuase of what he does for women, not his presenting skills!
“I think obviously I champion the female race so I think that’s why they asked me to do it. It’s not because I’m a very good presenter, I can tell you that much, because I’m not, but I’m hoping we’ll get though it.”
“I’m so nervous I can’t even talk I’m so petrified. I was a bit mortified to find out this morning there wasn’t an autocue but I’m sure I’ll be able to wing it some how.”
Aw Gok, don’t worry I’m sure you did just fine!
Whatever you’ve thought of Gok Wan’s last show Miss Naked Beauty, I definitely think that the right girl won - well done to 20 year old Shona Collins. Shona definitely ticked all the right boxes for me - intelligent, articulate, funny, curvy, gorgeous, and with her petite figure and flame red hair she is the perfect spokewoman for the women that are underrepresented (or not representated at all) by the beauty industry. Go girl!

Now that David Tennant is stepping down from the tardis who better to fill the tasty timelord’s shoes than…. Gok Wan! I think Gok would make a great Dr Who - don’t you? He could travel through time fixing people’s clothing dilemmas, see if the aliens have any top beauty tips, call everybody girlfriend…

When Gok Wan was in the Simply Yours office and were filming the video where he gave three Simply Yours girls the Gok treatment in his lingerie, we managed to capture some pure Gok gold on camera, which we simply had to share with you.
Gok, being his usual outrageous self, caused quite a bit of chaos on the office (as you can imagine).

The Sunday Times has included Gok Wan in their list of people who have gone up on that fickle scale of fame.
He’s in interesting company - other stars on the up include Paris Hilton, Russell Brand, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Aniston and Prince Charles. Can you imagine that lot all getting together with Gok Wan? Good grief! I think Gok would have a whale of a time with though!
And on the way down? Kerry Katona, Sinitta and Mel B.
