Well the votes have been coming in thick and fast. It was a very close competition but Christine’s cute cupcake bra and briefs set has captured peope’s hearts.

The Simply Yours ‘Brief to Bra’ lingerie competition is now closed for entries. We received over 100 and we were abolsutely thrilled with both the quality and the quantity of the entries. A massive well done and a huge thank-you for all of you who entered - you really did make choosing the final three designs very difficult.

However, we did manage to reach a decision! The three finalists are:

Gok Wan’s shapewear collection is back for Spring/Summer 2010 with sexy new styling and a choice of fabulous new colours. Well, you can’t be surprised that after three successful seasons the range would have a little Gok makeover can you?

The three colour choices are now Deep (Black), Vintage (Mink/Natural) and the stunning Lagoon (Blue).

One of the main differences this season is the bra cup shape. The best-selling Banger Booster hasn’t gone away, but it’s been revitalised with a balconette rather than a plunge shape. This applies to all of the cup size shapewear pieces - the Sassy Slip, Curve Controller and the update of the Boobilicious Basque, Basque In Glory. This bra shape will give you more of a ‘Pride and Prejudice’ style cleavage and will support you beautifully up to a G cup.

You’ll also notice sexy seam details in a sumptuous satin binding to really enhance your curves. And of course, there are some amazing new additions to the collection!

We’re all very excited here at Simply Yours because this afternoon we’re off to meet Gok Wan again! We’ve arranged a fabulous bra-fitting event at Manchester’s prestigious Hilton hotel for 50 lucky winners and their friends who won via a competition at Key 103. It’s so important to wear the right sized bra- and nobody knows it better than Gok Wan - and Simply Yours!

One winner will even get to have a one-on-one style consultation with Gok Wan himself and get to wear some of Gok Wan’s shapewear collection!

I’m feeling pretty nervous as I may even get to ask Gok Wan a few questions myself – eek! I’ve got my outfit sorted and I’m hoping that gets the Gok seal of approval. Soon find out though…

Don’t worry; I’ll be back tomorrow to keep you updated with all of the Gok Wan goss from the event. There’ll be photos and videos – and hopefully a mini Gok Wan interview if I get the chance.

Well now it’s official. The Gok Wan Super Slicker Knicker control pants have been voted joint best looking control pants in a recent test by the very dedicated Rachel Holmes at the Guardian.

The overall winner was Spanx - also available at Simply Yours.

It’s a great result for the Gok Wan shapewear. After all, it was specifically developed to look sexy, as well as shape and support. And in my opinion, based on the photographic evidence they slim and smooth just as well as any of the other contenders.
